La Camera Group Home, Winthrop, MA

BWK served as general contractor to build this 5,000sf group home for North Suffolk Mental Health. The busy street and tight lot lines posed construction challenges for the demolition, foundation and building erection. The exterior was designed to fit the area and the environment. Being so close to the ocean the exterior siding is vinyl, PVC trim and clad windows. The galley rail gives it the coastal feel. The interior is designed for severely handicapped adults. All door ways are 4’ wide and the bed and bath rooms have ceiling lifts.
